I have brown hair and I know I have to bleach it because I am going up more than three shades. Once I bleach it, I know it will be the ugly orange color. Can I put the shade of blonde I want over the ugly orange to be the blonde I want?

when you bleach your hair start at the end of the hair and leave the scalp last. you can leave most bleaches on for an hour. if your hair is dark you might need 2 applications. but if you havent died your hair yet , go to a professional and then touch up your own roots. thats what i did. good luck

That could be because you didnt use a strong enough volume, like, i say, use 40. i mean, youre going to harm it anyways. thats what i use, and my hair is fine to me. Or, leave it in longer, do it more than once. Also...toner,toner,toner. It is usually of violet tinge colour, and can get it most beuty places. It gets rid of some bronzey colours in blonde hair. Or, youoculd go to a salon..where they will get it to the blonde you want.

you are going to ruin your hair. why not just add simple highlights so that you can maintain the natural color and healthiness while adding the color in a more natural state to your hair?

Well the blonde is actually a lite color. So you would only have to bleach it the once but be careful cuz bleach works very fast and your hair might turn out really white. The best thing to do is to bleach it but go a little darker on your shade of blonde because you are adding it to a white it will turn out the shade you want. Just be careful on the color you choose and how the long the bleach stays it.

No, you will want to use a white toner (such as Manic Panic's Virgin Snow) to remove the brassiness (orange) hues from your hair. Then you should be able to dye it blonde (although it still may not come out to the exact shade you are hoping for)

it COULD make it pale blonde but then it would fade if you dont use color shampoo and cond....... but if you want it 2 turn out the way you want it y dont you just BUY the color you want?!?!?

Using a higher volume of peroxide means you'll get severley damaged hair BEFORE you get the result you want.Use a 20 volume peroxide with your bleach leave for about 30 minutes,wash it off and reapply it.You will then have to use a toner to get the blonde you want.

If your hair is yellow use a violet toner

If your hair is orange use a blue toner

NO! You will have to bleach (lighten or strip) your hair 2 times to go blond enough. Then you can add the color you want. If you really want a specific color shade go to a pro. If you have to do it your self. Get a lightener that will go 3, 5 or 7 shades in one use. It will depend on how brown your hair is and the shade you want. Do a strand test to see if you need to do it 2 times or not. Do a patch test to see if you are allergic to it. If you have long hair you will need more than 1 box of lightener for each go and more than 1 box of color. My waist length hair needs 5 boxs of lightener each time that is a total of 10 boxs of lilghtener then 5 boxs of color. It can be cheaper to go to a pro.

If you still have to do it at home bleach it on a friday wash with ph balanced shampoo then bleach again saturday then shampoo then add color on sunday. Good luck
