I think straightened with a straightener. Other hairs styles i do is...

5 min.....high pony tail, a medium high bun, down natural or low pig tails.....10 min......down straight with suave mousse or down wavy with suave mousse....15+ min....straight with straightener or wavy with crimp-er.

I have curly hair. It all depends really. Like do you want it straight? Or for curls do you want it tight, or small, or loose and wide. It really depends.

If your natural hair is curly, if you straighten it for a month or a couple of months, the straighter will damage your curls, and you閳ユ獟l either loose the curls, or they will slowly come back, but they will be very frizzy and bushy.

However, if your hair is naturally straight, then when you get it curly, if you want it for a long time, then get a perm for curly or straighten hair, but of course be careful where you go to get it done.
