How can i get brown hair dye (semi perminant) out of blonde hair?

A few months ago i dyed my (light blonde) hair with Clairol's Natural Instincts darker brown hair dye, but now i have an inch + of my roots showing! The color has faded some, but its supposed to wash out completely in a month, which it definitely hasn't. What are some ways to get it out? If i strip my hair at a hairdresser how much will it cost, and will it permanently damage my hair?!

If you get it stripped it could damage your hair by taking some of the natural pigment and mosture out of it

you should scrub your hair with vosene shampoo and then use some sheer blonde conditioner.x

I seriously hope you like the cropped look... because NOTHING will return your hair to it's original color without damaging it. Bite the bullet...get the cut. I use a men's barber for my crop and it looks fantastic! P.S. Clairol is a brand to stay Far,Far,Far away from! Have had good results with L'Oreal over the years...not perfect...but okay. The best bet is always salon coloring.

Jusr keep washing your hair. Wash it every day and call a hairdresser befor you try anything you buy to get it out. Thats what i did when i dyed my purple.

Dye it something close to your natural hair color. Roots will come back, but they will be closer to the natural color and you can grow it out without looking bad.

Now I would suggest getting it colored by a professional. You can buy a box of dye that matches what your hair used to be, but it won't come out like you want. A hairdresser will know exactly what color to use to get it just right. They will know based on the color that is in your hair now, just what to use! Good luck!
