Makeup for platinum blonde hair/ pale skin??

Although I have almost always had dyed blonde hair, I have just gone for an all over (almost) white colour. I have very pale blue eyes and very pale skin.

I am really struggling with getting a good combination of makeup items that will stop me looking so washed out!!

Any tips would be really appreciated, esp. about colours that should be avoided.

Thanks!!!!!

hiya, im exactly the same so i use body shop foundation and rimmel powder and bright green eye shadow (urban decay) which brings out the colour of blue eyes and mmy blonde hair :) leave lips just apply some lip solve and it looks natural.... ffs dont put red or pink lipstick on it makes hair look obvious :)

To add extra colour into pale skin, switch foundations to a slightly bronzed one or a new product by Maybeline has come out called bronze drops or something like that. You mix a few drops into your normal foundation and it adds a slight shimmer and a bit more colour than normal.

Why not dye your hair a different shade of blonde or even go light brown as what your currently sounds like will make you look washed out!

Enhance your eyes with eye make-up and a creme eyeshadow in a great brown colour will look great in the summer!

First, let me say, with no disrespect to you, that with your pale skin tone, you should not have gone with blonde/almost white hair. It will make you look white as a ghost, no matter what makeup you put on. Let a pro find the proper hair color for you by deciding if you have a lot of natural red tones or gold tones already in your hair. You need a warm look hair wise %26amp; makeup wise.

avoid light pinks and reallly bright colors. also, avoid just using black liner and mascara

go for a brown pencil and brown mascara to make your eyes pop, but give a warm feeling. you could try a brown/gold shimmer or just a warm brown shadow. try a gray or smokey black shadow, but it might be too dark compared to your fair skin, hair, an pale eyes. i would go for warm colors to create contrast on your face

choose a really good foundation that goes perfectly with your skin and really makes it look smooth.

use a light peach or rose color on your cheeks and a rose or and lip color that goes really well with your skin. slick on some gloss over your lip color to make your lips appear fuller.

you can never go wrong with natural colours on a good base try Revlon colourstay foundation for a perfect flawless base. Then experiment with colours, you can buy really cheap colour pallettes from markets and stuff. Pay close attetion to eye make up to draw attention to your eyes and stop you from looking 'washed out'...

Go to ivillage and upload a pic and you can try different make up on and different hairstyles its a virtual make over!!

Blonding up your hair can really wash you out. I would use a facial tan ( or a moisturiser with a hint of tan ) , And/or a bronzer. I recommend "Dallas" by Benefit, it's really natural looking. I'd also wear mascara to highlight your eyes. You may want to wear a dark brown as black might look too harsh. I have struggled with this myself before, I'm back to being a brunette now, but I did love my blonde hair!
