i have naturally dirty blonde hair, and am thinking of dying it dark brown underneath with lighter blonde streaks on top, does anyone have any tips or ideas, or even pictures that could help me get it right?

i have the same hair and i got blonde streaks and then i got a brown rinse and done that underneath and it looked realy good!!

It all depends on your facial complex. If you're fair skinned I wouldn't go that dark it'll make you look washed out. If you're tanned I would think a deep chestnut brown would look best because you can and will look pretty damn good with blonde hilights. I would go hilights not streaks. It looks nicer to have one colour tone then lighten it a bit instead of doing it the other way around. I have somewhat red hair, it's kinda darker underneath and in the summertime it's dark underneath with strawberry blonde hilights I don't even have to get it done professionally. You can go get hair dye that washes out quickly and experiment with it, or getting it done correctly with a professional who knows what they're doing. But the down side is that it can be somewhat expensive...

well that all depends on alot of things. Your skin tone, your style, how drastic you want to go.

Personally i think the dark hair for the underneath layer is slightly obsolete. Not ugly %26amp; people would still like it but its not a top fashion style, more just trendy.
