Lemon juice to get blonde hair?

i have dirty blonde hair.

i want it blonder.

when people say lemon juice helps, do they mean squezze a lemon then rub that juice on your hair.

and does this method work.

peferably from someone who tried it.

I used lemon juice in my hair about 10 years ago. It did lighten it out quite nicely (about 2 or 3 shades in the areas where I put the lemon juice) and I didn't have any problems with it drying out as the first person stated - maybe I just got lucky! Anyway, I used one of those plastic lemons that you buy in the produce section of any grocery store and just squirted it on my hair (I did streaks for highlights instead of all over application). Those plastic lemons contain 100% real lemon juice, and it saves all the hassle of squeezing lemons. Plus it's very portable because it has a recloseable lid so you can take it with you to the beach/lake - wherever!!! If you decide to try this, just remember to really condition your hair on the days when you are not putting the juice in to help prevent it from drying out. Good luck!!

lemon juice does work pour some on ur hair and go sit in the sun it'll lighten up your hair. i think sun in has peroxicide so if you use it, it will steal the color of your hair and make it lighter but it wont go back to normal until it grows back out.

go to the pharmacy and buy hydrogen peroxide, dump it on ur hair and either blow dry it or go outside in the sun, but it has to be really hot and sunny outside. after that take some VO5 conditioning hair dressing( its a oil that soothes split ends, smooths flyaways, and adds shine) so your hair wont look all crappy and dried up, i did this and my hair went from meduim brown to honey brown and it was very soft and shiny after VO5 because there was no damage.

Lemon juice has citrus oils in it and will suck out any/all moisture you're hair has. It doesn't work at all! It'll make it lighter but not much and it will fry your hair big time.
