Go a couple of shades lighter blonde. You will find that the dye will dry out your hair so it will not be as oily. Good luck!

If you are doing it yourself, go with a shade or two lighter, otherwise it could look kinda fake. If you are going to the hairdresser, I would just get light blonde streaks. My hair used to be dark brown and all I did was get some fine caramel colored streaks and it really made it look warm in color and pretty natural too. Since your hair is much lighter than mine was, the light blonde streaks would work very well for you! Whatever you do, don't go bleach blonde platinum. Your hair will become very corse and dry and you will regret it. Good luck!

Really, we'd need to know your coloring (i.e.: eye color, fair/medium skin tone, etc.) to be able to give you good advice.

Personally, I think women with fair skin often look fabulous as redheads. If you have light eyes and a medium skin tone (meaning you tend to tan easily and burn infrequently), a medium to dark brown color can really make your light eyes pop.

just get some light blonde highlights put in

preferably with a cap not foils-they can look streaky.

highlights will make your colour look natural whilst disguising the dark blonde

plus the blonde will probably suit you more than if you changed colour completely
