I wash it every night as I want the dye out now, I have 6 inch blonde roots and hair down to my waist, I went to a couple of hair salons and they quote me 鎷?00 to 鎷?40 to remove the dye, I cant afford this, I dont wanna go to some college and get it done either, Can anyone recommend something I can buy and DIY at home please?!!

you can buy hair dye remover from the chemist, like superdrug/boots etc. But be careful, it might turn your hair green! Probably best to get it done professionally. It's worth the cost unless you want to risk having your hair chopped off!

its very very hard to get black dye out of your hair. trust me I know. Without going to a salon, and trying to do it at home, is very risky. you can buy a hair stripper at a beauty supply shop or online, but you run the risk of your hair breaking at the start of the black dye. i highly suggest you go to a salon and chalk it up as a lesson learned =)

Its not going to be easy, and will take some time, but wash it every night in a good dandruff shampoo, like Head and Shoulders (get teh conditioner too and don't over dry it), dandruff shampoo strips colour, but only to a point. Also, I think the hairdresser Daniel Galvin actually does a colour stripper with Vitamin C, it used to be available at larger Boots stores but I don't know if it still is. The alternative is to save up and get it done professionally, but the more you wash it in head and shoulders, the more it will come out. Be really careful about trying to dye it back, hair that dark goes through a colour change process, from black to dark brown, to red, to orange to yellow and then finally blonde, but bleaching is really bad for you and may not get it all out, resulting in that awful orangey-yellow look. Don't even think of putting a blonde colour on it, it won't work. If you can find a college that will accept you as a model, tis not a bad idea as although they are (well trained) students, they are supervised by highly trained and qualified tutors. Good luck.

If it was a permanent dye, the only way you can get it out is with bleach. I would suggest that you go and have it done professionally to preserve the condition of your hair. If you can't afford that, Locate a Sally's beauty supply in your are( they are everywhere) and ask for some advice. The personel are usually ex-beauticians, or at least trained in things such as your problem. I would purchase Wella speedlite bleach and use 40 volume creme peroxide (you will have to leave it on less time w/40) and put it on the darkened part of your hair. After it lightens, use a Born Blonde toner (contains no peroxide) closest to your natural shade, and you should then be back to normal. However, you cannot color you hair and not have some damage, so invest in a really good conditioner (infusuion moisture restorative treatment) that you leave in after shampooing. Then try to stay away from heat instruments like curling irons as much as possible for awhile, and use your blow dryer on the cool setting.
All the products mentioned above are available at Sally's, and if you want to save a few dollars on the conditioner you can pick it up at Wal-Mart.

and it does cost around 鎷?00 to 鎷?40 to remove the dye. If you do not have the money to remove the color proffesionally. I would simply recomend, bleaching it blonde. and dieing it to the colour of blonde you really want. Its a long process, but it is the only way it will work.
