I was planning on dying my hair light brown, but my younger brother talked me out of it, saying that it is too common among Indians to do that and that I should do something different. He suggested that I dye my hair peroxide blonde.

While I laughed in his face at first, the idea has stuck and I actually really wanna do it. But I don't know if blonde hair will really go well with brown skin. I don't want people staring at me as if I am a freak of nature.

Is it a good idea???

i think it depends on how dark you are.

if you just look tanned, you should go for it.

but if your like dark, i dont think its a good idea.

personally i think the right shade for you would NOT be blonde. if ur dying your hair you should go to a pro to consult you on the right shades for your skin. its like a really white person dying their hair black ( morticia!) i think you should dye it brown (not too dark or too light) with honey coloured highlights. this is an easy transition, then you can go lighter gradually. good luck dude

you can dye your hair to whatever you want it to look like, it just depends on how much you want people to laugh at you, lol! j/k! but really if you want to dye your hair then dye your hair. it's hard to really know because we dont' know what you look like. but i would say that if you want to do it, then do it!!!

Well... to be honest ... NO.. People with orangy blond hair is ugly.. Maybe if you want a different color/look.. try some of the reds, purple, greens.. Go to a professional if you can afford it, if not look into those intense hair dye for black hair (it really works)... Keep your black hair and put in a few bright toned color highlights or chunks.. Using peroxide on asian/indian hair.. does NOT make your hair blond... nor will it dye it evenly.. seriously.. I had a guy friend who dyed his hair red chunks and he had natural black hair.. It looked great on him.. He even cut the sides of his hair kind of short and kept the top to make it a cool long mohawk

I think i would try highlights first.....it's not so drastic.

You may want to go blonde eventually but it will be a huge step, i would stick with the highlights....goodluck !!!

will it look good: probably not

get a good hairstylist, and get it done professionally and it will look a lot better than it would if you did it at home.

note: peroxide is really hard on hair and this color will need a lot of upkeep as your hair grows

Dear freak of nature, to respectfully answer your question you can do whatever you want. This is a free country and every person has the right to do so.

If want a secret potion than try this: buy 2 packs of bleach, 2 eggs, olive oil and super glue. Make a good mix and apply that in your hair and leave it for 5 and a half minutes. Your hair would get the required color and you'll never get the opportunity to change it again. I hope this helps.
