when i get routes back and i dye them, would they go the same blonde or a different blonde colour?

okay well firstly if you have currently got a colour on your hair then you will need to use a colour remover to remove the artificial pigment from your hair in order to have a blank canvas (use colorfix by robert craig if you live in USA or schwarzkopof igora phantom if you live in the UK) if your hair is currently its natural colour then you won't need to use colour remover. then you will need to bleach- ALL bleaches are the same whether they are OTC or professional, bleach is bleach and the only variations are the "tint" put into the bleach- for example you can get blue bleach, violet or white (but you will get the same outcome whichever one you choose) the other difference is in what peroxide level you use in conjunction with the bleach- i will tell you to mix with 20vol peroxide (developer) as you need nothing harsher than this. if you want to use professional then try clairol born blonde bleach: http://www.sallybeauty.com/shop/1461/320... and mix with clairoxide developer: http://www.sallybeauty.com/shop/1470/320... if you are using OTC then opt for loreal perfect blonde: http://www.allcures.com/shared/product.a... bleach to the pale yellow stage (think inside of a banana skin- creamy/pale yellow) DO NOT BLEACH TO WHITE- this will snap your hair, platinum is achieved by bleaching to the pale yellow stage and then using a toner, once bleached to the pale yellow stage then use clairol born blonde toner in 352 precious platinum: http://www.clairolprofessional.com/dispe... the upkeep on your hair will be more difficult as you will have to do the roots roughly every 4 weeks, but you should do the roots ONLY. Bleaching your hair makes it very straw like after you've washed it because bleaching it 'strips' it of all it colour! Its not just dye that goes over the top....It actually strips it.........

you will have to prelighten it, probably not even once. prelighten them once with Garnier (i use it), you will get a bit yellow shade. then see if you have still too dark hair, so you will have to do this again. if your hair is just light yellow, then you can use platinum or ash shade (i use Clairol) and you will get a perfect result. and when you get roots just do the same to them, bleech and then dye with the same colour, they will be of the same colour with your hair. The best way to do this is by going to the hairdressers. Home bleaches are okay, but very harsh which may, and probably will damage your hair. I have predominately grey hair as I went grey very early. My natural hair colour was a dark chestnut brown and had a lot of red in it. I decided to go blonde but went to the hairdressers as I had tried to colour brown over my grey. This caused a build up of layers of colour and it took 5 hours to strip all the colours out. My hair is now the desired pale blonde and I can do it myself at home. I do get a lot of breakage but as I do my hair every 4-5 weeks I cant justify spending 40 50 pounds on my hair every month. To do it yourself at home, you would need lighteners and blondeing treatmnets which are bleaches. It does dry your hair a lot. Phone your salon or pop in to get some proffesional advice before you go ahead.

Don't do it yourself. If your hair is dark brown it takes extremely strong stuff to make it light blonde. All that will happen if you try it is that it most probably will go an orangey/ ginger colour. You know the one that everyone hates?

go to a hairdresser, it may take 3-4 times to dye it blonde, cus if that hairdresser has any brains, she'll know that you do it in layers, also after you get blond it is good to wet your hair befor showering like and hour before, and put balsam and let it stay there untill you go to the shower, otherwise your hair will get all dry and difficult to comb it.. and
and when you get routes, and dye them, try to go to the same place, cus i think they use different cemicals each hairdresser you go to. so she might have strong but another place might have a little softer, so please find a good hairdresser that you trust.. cus also if you go to a not good hairdresser, it might happen that that person burns your hair and then you will go bald..
