how do celebrities go from tinted dark hair to blonde without wrecking it and avoiding the orangey, brassy stage of lightning the hair. other than bleach on high peroxcide is there anything anyone knows of?

I am a hair stylist/colorist and once you put a very dark color on your hair the only way to get it out is to use bleach. But that does not mean your hair will fry. You can use a combination of bleach and shampoo,mix it together apply it to your head and watch it lift.

Because of the dark color you will go through a orange stage. Rinse hair and apply the desired lighter color. Note- If the hair is orange or very gold after rinsing use a color(toner) that has some Ash in it -It will neutralize the gold tone. Finish with a good color conditioner such as Paul Mitchell reconstructive treatment.

This is something that is do-able at home but it is best to see your stylist to avoid any further hair trauma you might cause.

They spend a lot of money at very high end salons to look like that. They can afford expensive conditioning treatments to prevent or at least mask damage to their hair. I know you can use lemon juice and sunlight to lighten your hair but it won't make you all over blonde.

well there is this hair lightnening kit at Sally's thats called lightning flash... its pretty good then if you want another color of blond then you can go buy those box hair coloring kits...and put it on your lightned hair

THE ONLY OTHER WAY IS TO DO A BABY BLEACH- IT CONSISTS OF BLEACH , 30VOL PEROXIDE , SHAMPOO AND A RECONSTRUCTIVE CONDITIONER.

. LEAVE ON FOR 10 MIN AND DO IT AGAIN IN A WEEK KEEP DOING IT EVERY WEEK UNTIL YOU REACH YOUR DESIRED COLOR. BE SURE TO KEEP CONDITIONING YOUR HAIR.

THE OTHER ALTERNATIVE IS GO TO THE HAIRDRESSER AND HAVE THEM USE A COLOR REMOVER.YOU CANT BUY IT IN A STORE.

Either you can go and get it professionally done(they know what they are doing) or get some Sun In. It works and it does not contain peroxide or bleach. If you sitin the sun a lot put lemon juice on your hair, that works too.
