Why do some Black girls hair turn orange when they dye it blonde?

and why do some black women feel the need to dye their hair blonde when they are already so beautiful as they are?

Why do some Black girls hair turn orange when they dye it blonde?

Because we like changes I guess.. and when we normally blonde our hair and it turns orange that mean we've did something wrong..

Why do some Black girls hair turn orange when they dye it blonde?

i don't know and i really do not care...

our hair is do dark for one stripping. If its not done professionally all dark haired people get red.

Why not dye...its our right to change our hair colour. Everyone else does it. Blue hair isn't natural either.

Hmm. my hair didn't turn orange. why do you suppose that some do and some don't. why do some white girl's hair turns green? It may be a certain chemical in the dye itself. I don't know, but it doesn't have anything to do with being black or white. (I dyed my hair blonde for a role in a play).

There is a hair section by the way.

Ans: I don't know and I do not dye my hair.

better question

y r u a ******?

Why do some Black girls hair turn orange when they dye it blonde?

because they are stupid and they don't love them self's, I'll tell you why they do it because they are a disgrace to their race! and they want to be white so they do all kinds of things to them self's yet they hate on white girls! I am proud of myself and you won't ever catch me doing anything F*cked to my self!

Dark hair does that, not just black women. I dont dye my hair blond, would never want to.

People dye their hair... some white women dye their hair pink and green... what does it matter what race they are.

Maybe I am taking this the wrong way, but it seems that you preceive black women dying their hair blond, as them wanting to be white. Black women are just as entitled to dying their hair, as any other woman. It shouldnt really matter.

Edit: the person above me is by far more of a disgrace to the race than any woman who colors her hair... LEARN HOW TO USE "THEIR, THERE AND THEY'RE" fool.

A pigment called melanin is responsible for hair color. There are 2 types of melanin found in the hair. Eumelanin, is the most common type, it gives the hair shades from brown to black. Phaeomelanin, gives the hair yellowish-blond tones and ginger and red colors. Total absence of pigment produces white (grey) hair.

About 80% of the hair consists of elongated cells (corticle cells) of a fibroid structure (macro-fibrils, micro fibrils). The cortex determines the THICKNESS, ELASTICITY and STRENGTH of the hair. It is also responsible for housing all of the hairs' natural COLOR PIGMENTS.

COLOR PIGMENTS found in the cortical layer are in the form of minute melanin granules. These granulized color pigments are stored in tiny sacks called ALVEOLUS (ALVEOLI). In healthy hair, light reflected from the cuticle surface produces a soft sheen This sheen is referred to as "the transparency of a hair color." At the same time, the pigments gleam through the cuticle. This is what makes up the unmistakable shades of color in the hair. The cortex can be damages by:

1. TOO STRONG DEVELOPER (OXIDIZERS)

2. BRUSHING AND DRYING

3. PERMS AND NON-SUITABLE SHAMPOOS

This means that the haircolor does not last as long and that the hair becomes brittle, dry, dull and not easy to comb.

FINE HAIR Fine hair can be damaged easily as compared to thicker or coarser hair. Penetration of chemicals and products occurs faster on fine hair due to the fact that fine hair has less cuticle layers, and sometimes the layers themselves are thinner. The Haircolorist needs to keep this in mind when working with fine textured hair.

COARSE HAIR

Coarse hair is larger in diameter. Coarse hair will have more cuticle layers, and sometimes the layers themselves can be thicker. This type of hair is sometimes more resistant to haircolor and decolorization products.

this does not happen to only african american wome..this happens to all wone that have dark hair..my hair is black..i have tried to dye it blond and it turned brassy orange..above you will see why this happens..

also a woman with dark complextion..looks beautiful with highlights or blonde hair..so it just depends on the person..race has nothing to do with it..it is the same reason why "whites" dye their hair blonde.

When you go from very dark hair to very light hair you have to do it in stages to prevent too much damage. So it is dyed and it is not blonde enough, it is more a brownish orange, then you let your hair rest and go lighter. You keep doing that until it is the desired color. It is not just black girls, any person with dark hair (Hispanic, Indian, Italian, Asian...) The hair doesn't go from black to blonde in one treatment.

Some black girls choose to dye their hair blonde because they think it looks good. Just like some Hispanic women and dark haired white women do. It's no different than a blond dying her hair red or black. Who cares, its a woman's perrogative to do what she wishes to her hair. I think blonde looks good on some black women. The general rule is, if your hair was light as a child, then you can get away with blond hair. There are a lot of black children who have sandy colored hair as children. Beyonce for example had sandy hair as a child, so that is why blond looks good with her complexion.

My question: why are some people so judgemental of black womem and everything we do? The way we do our hair, the way we dress, the way we walk, the way we talk...

Why do some Black girls hair turn orange when they dye it blonde?

Maybe because they want to.....I think it could be because some of us have naturally dark colored hair.

Why do some Black girls hair turn orange when they dye it blonde?

aww, you're a sweetheart.

Why do some Black girls hair turn orange when they dye it blonde?

I'm in total agreement with some of the other posters. If someone has very dark hair they will have to dye their hair a shade lighter than the color they want achieve.

I don't believe the majority of black women feel like they need to dye their hair blonde, I think hair dying is just another way for someone to express their personality.

Thanks, we are beautiful just the way we are, but we have the ability to change our hair, it adds entrigue to our personas, but to your question, the person probably did not follow the proper procedure to dye her hair. I suggest a professional if you want to go blonde or really red.

I went Blonde last summer...It took level 30 Bleach to get it that light...I did have fun...but I like my natural color better...I guess the ones that have orange hair, didn't use enough Bleach or they actually meant for their hair to be orange...Some of them look good with orange hair...like R%26amp;B artist Keisha Cole

Why do some Black girls hair turn orange when they dye it blonde?

Its not just blacks, its anyone who bleaches their hair. When you see someone that orginally had darker hair color and it ends up being an orange color they did not get their hair colored correctly.

Why do some Black girls hair turn orange when they dye it blonde?

interesting answers right? lol i dunno about the orange part but i know some minority women dye their hair blonde because they either want to look funky and stand out or because the media and society tells us "blonde and white is better"....
