What is the best way to dye my hair blonde?

My hair is dyed dark brown and I want to go blonde again. What is the best way to do so without it going orange or anything. Also what colors go with it for like random foils and stuff. =] thanks

Ok, I've done this about a zillion times-I always alternate between dark brown and blonde and my hair is still thick and healthy. I start by using Herbal Essences bleach blonding kit (no ammonia so it is best for your hair). After you do this your hair will be weird and golden blonde/orangeish so plan on being a hermit for a day. After about a day of recovery, I put in Nice N Easy #87 which is the only dye I've found to make a nice light blonde free of brass. After this, I like to use revlon blonde lowlights (my hair is layered so on the longest bottom layer I put in alot of lowlights, and less and less as I go up in the layers, with no lowlights at all on the very top layer so it looks the most natural). This seems like a really weird process but my hair always looks amazing and I get load of compliments on it all the time!

Go to a professional so you don't mess it up yourself.

Well I would use bumble and bumble's dye or use a natural lemon juice and sunlight blend.

Don't buy any do-it yourself dye kits if you want to go blond starting from dark brown. You risk dieing your hair green or orange!

I would recommend you to go to the salon.

Good luck :)
