If your hair is naturally blond you should just use a warm brown, always choose a shade lighter than what you are wanting b/c over the counter usually go darker than what it shows. If you have hilighted or colored blond hair you definately need something with a gold base so that the hair doesn't go ash.

I had blonde hair and I dyed it an golden brown, wrong thing to do, my hair was red! I called my stylist and she said I needed ash instead of golden, and she told me that my hair was strong enough to dye it again the next day So I had to go and dye it with an ash brown, and its a great color now! so as long as you dont use anything that says golden in it you should be fine. hope this helps you out
