Question about dying my hair from light blonde to a darker shade...?

I naturally have very light blonde hair, and have been wanting to go dark now for a while. Only problem is that I don't want to go permanent right away (I don't know how it will look), so I'm trying to find one that washes out after a few days. A lot of the dye boxes I read say not to go dark if you have really light blonde hair, and I've heard it won't go back to my natural color. Any suggestions?

A semi-permanent will wash out in a few days. If you are nervous, go to a professional and they will know what brand to use.

My girlfriend was blond and used a product that came in a gray cylinder bottle with a pop up spout. It looked great, and as it washed out it looked great too.

speak with a professional. never try color in a box unless you've doing it for awhile.

DOn't do it!!!!!! Temporary dye looks terrible on blond hair and doesn't wash out all the way...if you decide you don't like it, you'll have to bleach it out, and you'll never get a true match to your natural shade....when I'm deciding on a new hair color, I go to a cheap wig shop and try on ones in the colors I'm considering, and sometimes buy one and try it out for a few days that way...if you don't like it...take it off, no harm done to your own hair :)

Question about dying my hair from light blonde to a darker shade...?

I would go to a hairdresser first. If you have very light coloured hair, it may not go back if the colour change is dramatic. I would suggest a gradual change. You will get more of an idea what suits you. A dramatic change might shock you %26amp; you might not like it. I would take some advice from a colourist. Good idea about wigs. I might try that!

well if Ur blond it probably wont look good to get super dark hair anyways. you should just get some highlights maybe in a lighter shade or even maybe just dye it a darker shade of blond.

good luck

talk 2 some one that knows about hair dye but i dont think you should

Question about dying my hair from light blonde to a darker shade...?

There is something called a temporary wash. It slowly washes out, but if you have colored or permed hair it will not wash out. Even if you do color your hair, it will not permanently change your hair color. Your roots will come back the same blonde hair. But remember, it you dye your hair dark with permanent dye, you will have to strip it to get it out. Really bad for the hair.

You have to dye your hair red first. Think about all those girls with green hair. They went straight to brown. Think what colors make brown ? Red and Green. When your hair is blond, you are missing some of the red highlights in your hair. Start with a light color red then go to a light reddish brown, then a medium brown. Please don't skip this red step. See a professional. If not, please try these steps yourself. But it will take a few weeks. Semi-permanent will turn your hair the greenest of all and takes forever to wash out. I know some people who had to go to a salon to get their hair back blond. Good Luck.

please don't attempt this yourself. a professional colorist can provide the beautiful results you want - attitude without committment. ask for a color glaze to darken your hair temporarily. the colorist should use a shade that is warmer than you actually desire because very light blonde hair is lacking warm and it needs to be put back into the hair. if a warmer shade than desired is not used, you will have grey/green/muddy looking hair (especially on the ends).

Recently I was a very light blonde (part natural, part bleach/color, part living on the beach) and had a level 6Warm lowlights. not all over color, just enough to add some depth and dimension to my color. It looks awesome!

Question about dying my hair from light blonde to a darker shade...?

I would definitely talk to a colour specialist in a reputable salon. I would consider streaks of a darker shade and some warm highlights with a red undertone. Hair with more than one colour always looks more natural and much more interesting.

go to sallies beauty supply store and they have kinds that wash out within a few weeks but trust me im natural sand blond and iv been trying for about four years to go back but the color is not the same and the only way to get perminent browns out of blonde hair is to strip it or bleach and that will change the health of your hair forever.

Question about dying my hair from light blonde to a darker shade...?

you can try the semi permanent that is in a spray bottle there are many hot colors to choose from and they wash out in 5 washes. It won鐚玹 stain your hair and you can change it with no fuss. Or did you thing about getting some highlights done. It will be stuble, but it will give you a chance to slowly change your hair darker.

Question about dying my hair from light blonde to a darker shade...?

I suggest you try on wigs in the color you like first. Then when you find the right shade of hair that goes with your complexion, see a hair stylist for the final results.

Good luck to ya.

Blondes have more fun, why change that?!?

Question about dying my hair from light blonde to a darker shade...?

go to a wig shop and try a dark wig on and see if you like it! Talk to a hair professional first two as they do know best

Herbal Essence. And your hair will go back to it's natural color. It will take time, but it will eventually grow back the way it was. In the meantime, you can dye it as close a shade to your natural color that you can find, so the roots won't be obvious. That's what I did.

There are some salons that have a machine that can show you what you would look like without the blonde . What they do is take a picture of your face and then the computer changes the hair colour bit by bit . It can also change the style . This way you get a far better idea and can see yourself as others would . Never colour really light blonde hair yourself , its a recepie for disaster, please go to see a hairdresser and enquire about the colour guide system .

Question about dying my hair from light blonde to a darker shade...?

i would not recommend using red in light blonde hair as lady26 suggested. i have dyed my hair red and it will never come out even if temporary. try a coloring shampoo. i used to use Aussie in the auburn (i think thats the color) and it does a gradual change each time you wash your hair with it. i had light blonde hair and it looked very subtle. the more you use it the darker it gets. when you stop using it the color starts to fade away gradually. it will be washed out completely in about a month at most. if you end up with a shade you like you can hold it there for a while with shampoo made for colored hair (i LOVE herbal essence rose hips). be sure to use conditioner. good luck and happy dying!!

Question about dying my hair from light blonde to a darker shade...?

it all depends on the brand.
