Yes this will work for your hair! I had a similar hair dilema and it worked for me. You don't even need to go to the salon due to the fact that your just dying your hair dark. Just buy a dark hairdye and put it on and it will turn out! It worked for my hair when it was blonde. Going to the salon is always better but it will just cost you more money. I only go to the salon when I am dyeing my hair blonde or getting blonde streaks because it could turn my hair brassy or orange looking if I used a home dye. So, your best bet is to buy a good non-fading hairdye (Garnier is best), in a cool color (takes out the brassiness from blonde), and buy a dark hairdye so it will cover the blonde hair very good. Your good to go! Hope this helped! Good luck!

well i used to have bleach blond hair almost and i wanted to go brown, depending on the shade of brown your wanting to go will determine whether or not it will work as well as you want it, bc i know one of the first times i dyed my hair darker, it was still pretty light and i missed a couple spots, so you coudl tell it used to be blond, i suggest going a lil darker than you want bc it will fade out no matter what, and you might have to go over it a second time with in a month, thats what i had to do, the color stripped out and i had to dye it one more time that month and it was fine.and if it does stay too dark for you then you can always find the perfect color to even it out and it will look great.

My friend had really blond hair ALL over her head and dyed it first brown, then after a while blond again, then black, then believe it or not red (because it was Halloween and she didn't know it was permanent) believe me...you can dye your hair any color you want...but just a piece of advice: before you do your entire head...try the color on a small slip of hair just in case the color doest look like the one you wanted. 'Cause the last thing you want to do is dye your hair the wrong color.

Several ideas here. First off does the blonde have red or green tones to it. All hair color natural or dyed has one of these 2 tones. If you're not good judging then try to decide if it's closer to a strawberry blonde or the inside of a celery stick. If it's closer to the strawberry go with your ash browns. If more like the inside of a celery stick go with your honey colors. Alot of people don't pay attention to this %26amp; that's why you see some with hair that has strong red or green tones to it. So whichever you have you use the opposite to balance it.

Another good idea is to find a hair color you like %26amp; compare the pic to your face in a mirror to make sure it will look good with your complexion.

I think Clairol or Loreal puts out a dye with highlights. I go with that as it looks more natural. Any solid color is going to look dyed %26amp; depending on the shade could even make the blonde show through looking sillier yet. Natural hair in good condition has other subtle colors to it, including blonde.

Make sure there is at least a week between dyes otherwise you not only damage the hair but risk what beauticians call burning. It's not a physical burn but kinda like when hair is close to a flame. You're using chemicals so don't overdo it.

I also wash %26amp; dry the hair before coloring so hairspray, gels, etc don't interfere with the process %26amp; you get a uniform color.

Then last but not least do the patch test no matter how many times you've used a product. Your hair could have clorine in it, other dyes or bleached by the sun or the product might have a variation of the ingredients in it that could damage your hair or scalp that it didn't before. You don't want to put it on then suddenly your scalp or hair starts burning or worse yet falls out when you rinse it. Better safe than sorry. Dyes are much better now but they are still chemicals.

Speaking of rinsing always finish the rinse with a cool spray to close the hair cuticles. It not only protects your hair but gives it shine. Then don't wash it for a couple of days unless you want to lighten the color.

But if you follow all these steps you should be ok.
